Linimo — Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how ARCH-CORE LAB, LLC ("ARCH-CORE LAB," "we," "us" or "our") collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when you use Linimo — our web application, shared-document viewer, desktop application, account site and the linimo.app website (together, the "Service"). Linimo is a product of ARCH-CORE LAB, LLC, and ARCH-CORE LAB is responsible for the personal information described here.

The short version: we collect what we need to run Linimo for you, and we do not use your drawings or documents to train AI models.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information in four ways: information you give us, content you create, information collected automatically when you use the Service, and information from services you connect.

1.1 Account information

To create and run your account, we collect your name, email address and password (stored only as a secure one-way hash), or — if you sign in with Google or Microsoft — the name and email address that provider shares with us. You may add a company name and job title. We also keep account-security information, such as sign-in times, the IP address of your most recent sign-in, and failed sign-in attempts, so we can protect your account.

1.2 Billing information

Payments are processed by Stripe. Stripe collects your card details directly; we never receive or store your full card number. We keep your plan, subscription status, billing history and the billing details you give Stripe (for team plans, the organization name and billing address).

1.3 Your content

To provide the Service, we store and process the content you choose to work with in Linimo:

Documents you save to your own device or cloud storage. Linimo saves your work as .lno files. A .lno file contains imported PDF and image content, your markups, and document information such as the names of the people who made each markup. When you save to your device, Google Drive or OneDrive, the file stays there; we don't keep a copy.
Documents you share or collaborate on. When you use sharing or project collaboration, we store the markups and project information on our servers so your collaborators see the same, up-to-date work. If you turn on a view link, we store a copy of the shared document, including the PDF, so people with the link can open it.
Settings and templates such as tool preferences, style presets and title-block templates.

We use your content only to provide the Service to you and the people you share with, to keep it secure, and to support you when you ask for help. We do not use it to train AI or machine-learning models.

1.4 Collaboration and sharing information

When you invite collaborators, you give us their email addresses. We use them to send invitations and to give those people access with the role you choose. If someone asks for access to a shared document, we collect their name, email address and message and pass them to the document's owner. Please only invite people who expect to hear from you.

1.5 Information collected automatically

When you use the Service we collect:

Device and connection information — IP address, browser and operating system, device type, and approximate location (country, region and city) derived from the IP address. We use this to keep accounts secure, show you your active sessions, and prevent abuse.
Usage information — for example, which features you open, including when you reach a feature that requires a different plan, and how visitors use our websites (pages viewed, referring sites and campaign tags), which may be collected with analytics tools. We use this to operate and improve the Service. You can turn off usage statistics in the web application under Settings → Send usage statistics.
Logs — technical records of requests and errors, used to run, debug and secure the Service.

1.6 Information from services you connect

If you connect Google Drive or Microsoft OneDrive, we receive the information described in Section 4.

1.7 Waitlist and marketing sign-ups

If you join our waitlist, we collect your email address and the product you're interested in, plus approximate location derived from your IP address, browser and device type, your browser language, and how you found us (referring page and campaign tags).

2. How We Use Information

We use personal information to:

Provide the Service — create and manage your account, save and sync your work, enable sharing and collaboration, and run the features you use;
Process payments and manage subscriptions;
Communicate with you — send service messages such as sign-in, security, billing, invitation and sharing emails, and respond to support requests;
Send product news and offers — see Section 7 for your choices;
Keep the Service secure — detect and prevent fraud, abuse and unauthorized access;
Improve the Service — understand which features are used and fix problems; and
Meet legal obligations and enforce our terms.

3. Automated Features

Title-block text recognition (OCR). When you choose to extract text from a drawing's title block, the selected pages are sent to Microsoft Azure AI services for text recognition. Microsoft deletes the images and results within 24 hours and does not use them for any other purpose. We store the extracted text (for example, sheet numbers and titles) with your project.
Tracing (converting scanned images to vector lines) runs entirely on your device. Nothing is sent to us.
No AI training. We do not use your content to train AI or machine-learning models. If we ever offer a feature that would, we will ask for your separate opt-in consent first.

We do not use automated decision-making that has legal or similarly significant effects on you.

4. Google Drive and Microsoft OneDrive

You can connect a Google Drive or Microsoft OneDrive account to open, save and share files from Linimo.

What we access.

- Google Drive: we use the drive.file permission, which gives Linimo access only to files you open with, or create in, Linimo — not the rest of your Drive — and the drive.install permission, which lets Linimo appear in Google Drive's "Open with" menu. It does not give access to any additional files. - Microsoft OneDrive: Microsoft's Files.ReadWrite permission technically allows access to your OneDrive files. Linimo only opens, saves and shares the files and folders you choose in Linimo. - We also receive your basic profile (name and email) for the connected account.

How we use it. Only to provide the features you use: opening and saving your files, creating and sharing the project folders you choose, and — when collaborators contribute to a document you shared — writing their changes back to your file on your behalf.
What we store. An encrypted connection token (a refresh token, encrypted with a key held in a separate secure key store) so the connection keeps working, the connected account's email address, and the identifiers of files and folders you use with Linimo. We store copies of file content only as described in Section 1.3 for sharing and collaboration.
What we don't do. We do not sell Google or Microsoft data, use it for advertising, transfer it to others except to provide the Service or as required by law, or use it to train AI or machine-learning models. Our staff do not read it unless you ask us to (for example, for support), it is needed for security or to investigate abuse, or the law requires it.
Disconnecting. You can disconnect in Linimo under Cloud → Connected accounts. Disconnecting revokes Linimo's access with the provider and deletes the stored token. You can also remove access from your Google account permissions or Microsoft account consents. Files already saved in your cloud storage stay there.

Linimo's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

5. How We Share Information

We share personal information only:

With the people you choose. Collaborators and people with a view link see the content you share with them, including markup author names.
With service providers who host and run the Service for us — for example, cloud hosting and databases, email delivery, text recognition and payment processing. They may use personal information only to provide services to us and must protect it. A current list is at linimo.app/subprocessors.
With analytics providers that help us understand how our websites and the Service are used.
With Google or Microsoft when you connect their services, as described in Section 4.
For legal reasons — to comply with law or legal process, to protect the rights, safety and security of our users, the public or ARCH-CORE LAB, or to enforce our terms.
In a business transfer — if ARCH-CORE LAB is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.

6. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use a small number of cookies and browser storage that the Service needs to work:

Sign-in cookies keep you signed in securely: a short-lived session cookie and a longer-lived refresh cookie.
Browser storage remembers your preferences, recent files and connected accounts, and keeps a local working copy of your markups on your device. This data stays on your device — including after you sign out — until you clear it, so use a private window on shared computers.
Payments. Our checkout uses Stripe, which sets cookies for fraud prevention.

Analytics. We and our analytics providers may use cookies or similar technologies to understand how our websites are used.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the Service won't work without its sign-in cookies. We do not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals.

7. Emails From Us

We send service emails — for example sign-in, security, billing, invitation and sharing messages — as part of the Service; you can't opt out of these while you have an account. We may also send product news and offers. Every such email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also change your email preferences in your account settings.

8. Data Retention

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes in this Policy:

Waitlist information	Until you unsubscribe, or 12 months after launch, whichever is sooner

When you close your account, you have 30 days to export your content. (If a paid subscription is active, it won't renew, and your account stays open until the end of the period you've paid for; the 30 days start when it closes.) After that, we delete your personal information and content from our systems, revoke and delete any cloud connection tokens, and close your billing profile with Stripe. Deleted data may remain in encrypted backups for up to [35] days before it is overwritten. We may keep limited information longer where the law requires it or to resolve disputes, prevent fraud or enforce our terms.

9. Security

We protect personal information with measures such as encryption in transit and at rest, encrypted storage of cloud connection tokens with keys held separately, access controls that limit staff access to what they need, and monitoring. No online service can be completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security. If a data breach affects your personal information, we will notify you and the authorities as the law requires.

10. Your Choices and Rights

You can:

Access and update your account information in your account settings;
Export your work at any time (PDF, PNG, JPEG, DXF, CSV and .lno), and ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
Delete your account in your account settings, or by emailing privacy@archcorelab.com;
Disconnect Google Drive or OneDrive at any time (Section 4);
Turn off usage statistics (Section 1.5) and unsubscribe from product emails (Section 7).

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights, such as the right to know, correct or delete personal information, or to appeal a decision we make about your request. We honor these requests for all users regardless of location. To make a request, email privacy@archcorelab.com. We will verify your identity before acting on it and respond within the time the law requires. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

11. Where We Process Information

ARCH-CORE LAB is based in the United States, and the Service is hosted in the United States. Linimo is designed for users in the United States. If you use it from elsewhere, your information will be processed in the United States, where data-protection laws may differ from those in your country.

12. Children

Linimo is a professional tool for adults. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to use it. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have, we will delete it and close the account. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact privacy@archcorelab.com.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email and in the Service at least 30 days before they take effect. Changes apply going forward. We will not use personal information we have already collected in a materially different way — for example, for AI training — without your consent. Previous versions are available on request.
